Dr. Zann is a testament to what good medicine is all about. He gave me the ability to walk without pain, a true blessing. We, as New Yorkers, loved his brashness and directness and the knowledge he conveyed.. May his memory be a blessing.

I am shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. "Bob" Zann today! He has been a long time friend as well as my orthopedic physician. He was always fun-loving with a great sense of humor! His talents as a physician and his gift of friendship will be a great loss! Rest in peace, Bob! I am so grateful to have had you pass my way in this life!

I was stunned when I heard that Dr. Zann had passed away. He operated on me, left hip replacement, and he was professional, compassionated, excellent bedside manners, and a warm and gentle doctor and man. God bless him and his family, Kenya Spear

I am in shock and saddened to hear today that Dr Zann died. I was a patient of his 7 years ago and always kidded him about being a "rock star." He replaced two very bad knees and thanks to him I play tennis 4 times a week. He was always fun to visit and at the same time I had the utmost respect for his competence. His skill improved my quality of life greatly for which I will always be grateful. My sincere condolences to his family.

To Mrs. Zann and Family,
I was very upset to read of Dr. Zann's untimely death. He was a very caring doctor taking considerable time to speak with my husband, who was his patient, about the need for surgery but to also speak with me, on an individual basis. I often thought of his dedication to his patients and trusted that it did not impinge upon his being a dedicated husband and father.
Please accept my deepest sympathy at this time.

Bob Zann was one heckuva good guy and an extraordinarily talented surgeon--I wasn't in the OR with him often enough over the years (beginning in 1982) but when I was it was always a privilege and a learning experience. Blunt and to the point, I knew where I stood with him. He loved what he was doing. He was confident and always knew exactly what do. In recent years, we rarely crossed paths, but regardless, whenever we did he never failed to ask me how my brother was and tell me how much he loved him. Wow. Of course, there was always some hilarious anecdotal story reminiscing about some shenanigans they had done 20 or 30 years ago. I think given the chance to do all over again, Bob would probably have changed very little. He maxed out his life with us and now he's on to maxing out the next one. Great job, Bob!

I've procrastinated on a hip replacement for four years and Dr. Zann kept me functioning. I'm forever grateful for his skill, knowledge and "real" bedside manner.... He told it like it is (even when I cringed and "cried" every time I got a cortisone shot lol)! He could be gruff, but his compassion was very evident. My deepest condolences to the Zann family. May the Lord comfort you and may happy memories warm your heart. God bless you.

I am very sorry to read of the loss of, Dr. Zann. With his accomplishments, and dedications, both in his professional life and personal one, he was an amazing man! I won't pretend to know what you're going through, but what has helped me deal with the loss of those I love is turning to the Scriptures, something that has been a real source of comfort. One Scripture that gives me hope is John 5:28, 29 which says, " Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out ." I hope that this verse will also comfort you and, I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend. Sincerely, Meryl, jw.org
