Often times, there is a misconception with anatomical donation. Most donation societies are not involved with your loved one immediately following their death. Most anatomical donation societies require that a funeral home bring that individual into their care and file all the necessary death certificates and paperwork prior to anatomical donation. The funeral home is also responsible for the initial preservation of the deceased.
