Today would have been German's birthday and I was thinking about him. I decided to "google" his name. I am really sad to learn of his passing. I haven't had any contact with him for decades but he has always had a special place in my heart. I am sorry for your loss and feel you were very lucky to have him as a father and husband for so many years.

I just want you to know how sad I was to hear of Docs passing. I just left the office where Nancy just gave me the news. You husband and father was a wonderful man. I had lung cancer and I put my life in his hands. I am now 12 years free because of his care. Doc always gave you his undivided attention and he had great compassion for his patients. I will never forget him. If anyone deserves the rewards of Heaven it is him.. He will be missed

I was so sad to hear of Dr Ruiz passing. He was my Oncologist until he retired. I remember my last visit to him, when he broke the news to me that he was retiring. I cried that day, as I did today. He was a very compassionate Doctor, who made every patient feel like they were his only patient. My prayers are with his wife and sons. God Bless you all.

My Dear Pilar,
Words cannot express the sad feelings in my heart today. Mark and I are sending our love to you and the boys at this sad time. God has certainly taken one of the best today. There must be a flood of angels waiting to take him to peace. As you know, he has been there for me through so many scary times, and always made me feel safe. I have never known someone who has saved more lives, and yet always made you laugh. He loved you so very much. Every
time he came in to the shop, he always said to" make something special for my
Pilar" He was so proud of his boys, and always ready to give you an update. I
only pray that he wasn't sick, and passed quickly. I am just so very sad. A huge
part of our community is broken. I will never forget when my mom was dying in
Fox Chase and all she wanted was to come back to SOCH. He was the only Dr.
she trusted. He had given me his cell number, and when I called, he said I am
scheduling a transfer. Bring her back to me. When I told her that, she was finally at peace and passed the next morning. I am sure she will be there along with all of the people he saved to welcome him into heaven. God bless you. Hold on to your beautiful boys. He will always be watching over you. He loved you so very much. I wish I could be there with you. I am there in spirit. Peg xoxo

Pilar,David and Danny. I can"t find the words to describe German. To have had the honor to work next to him for almost 30 years is something I continue to treasure to this day. I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Ruiz. Not only did I have the pleasure of coaching David and Danny in soccer but he became my doctor when I had cancer
He always made me feel like I was his only patient. I always looked for him each year at American Cancer Society relay for life. You will be missed.

I am so saddened by this news. Dr. Ruiz was the doctor I admired most and a sweet fried who helped me through so many bad times. He was kind and tough ,serious and fun, and so proud to be a husband and Father.. The world seems less bright with his passing. For sure he is now in God's arms.
