John was one of the kindest, purest, gentlest people I ever met. We had so much fun surfing and traveling together. I'll never forget our trip to Belgium and London or playing volleyball in the pool together in Hawaii. He always made me laugh. He will be deeply missed. To the Gresh family: My thoughts and prayers and love are with you, I know he is happy now. May he rest in peace.

John moved to my neighborhood when we were about six years old. We spent our early years fishing for many hours. John loved the water and was home when on it. I'm very sad to learn of John's passing. Mr. and Mrs. Gresh, please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you. My condolences go out to your family.
