Dear Aunt Ginny, Cousins Norman, Tom, and Sue -
I am very sorry for your loss of Uncle Jack, and I am sorry that this message is not more timely... I wish I would have been able to come to the service too. Uncle Jack helped a lot of people, and he was always a great and kind uncle when we got to visit, and clearly adored his family. I am very sorry he had the health difficulties he had in his later years, especially after helping so many others in need. I remember how much he loved his dogs as well, and we share that, as well as love of our family, and having some stubborn Reid family traits... Rest in peace, Uncle Jack, and all the best to the rest of the family.
Best regards,
Gwenann
PS I am on Facebook if any of you wish to contact me. We lived in CT for 20 years but now we live in Dallas, TX.

To Jack's family,
My mother is a resident at the Atrium on the 2nd floor. I visit her frequently. When I do, I say hello to all the residents near her.
My mother sat at the table in the dining room diagonal from where Jack sat. One day a few months ago my mother had a slight cold and sneezed. Jack caught my attention and waved to me. He took the napkin from his neck and offered it to me to give to my mother.
From his gesture, I can see what a great and compassionate man he truly was. He must have carried that caring nature through treating all his patients and had been a great doctor. His legacy of love for others will be remembered by all who knew him; his family, friends, acquaintances, and his patients.
Jack really touched my heart that day that he shared his napkin with my mother. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Wonderful memories working with Dr. Jack in his first practice in Boca and also becoming neighbors as newly weds 51 years ago, as well as visits in both the Keys and GA.
Our sincere sympathies to all of you....Blessings, Pat and Larry
