I was so sorry to hear.. Though I only knew him through working at NJE, he was such a nice man and was very kind to me. Though we know he is in a better place, the loss stays with us. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and those he leaves behind.

Nancy,
I cannot believe that Harold is gone. We have not been in the mountains since last I saw you. we are deeply saddened by your loss and that we did not get to spend more time with you two together.
Will not be able to make the service, we get back later in the week.
God Bless and hope to see you before the season is over up at Diamond Creek.

For over 40 years our family had the privilege of sharing many adventures and countless laughs with Harold. Those will always be cherished. His generous and caring spirit made him someone you would want to seek out to spend time with. Genuine to the core. I'll miss him dearly. My heartfelt condolences Nancy, the family and much-loved dogs.

Although I never met Harold in person, which I regret, he and I had a good working relationship on the phone; I juggled a lot of communication from him and for him as a go-between. My prayers and sympathy are with your family.

I knew Harold from Ohio and was able to meet Nancy in Florida years ago now before they were married. Harold was a "mensch", a really good person. He always was a lot of fun and he took me on that big Cary boat on Lake Erie (with Jeff once). He was generous and funny, and I'll always remember him with a warm heart.

We are saddened by Harold's passing. We met HP 25 years ago at Catawba Island Club where we kept our boat. He was the nicest and kindest man with a great sense of humor!! My entire family have lasting memories from Harold and his family.
I always called him on his birthday and it was like we picked up where we left off with ease. Heaven has a great addition as Harold was a very strong Christian. God bless you HP and the entire Pontius family!!
