My heart breaks for you and your family. Losing someone is so hard and life changing. I have found that believing that they are truly with us in some way and talking about them with love and laughter, helps keep their memories alive and makes missing them a tiny bit easier. One of me earliest childhood memories was going to Connecticut for every holiday and seeing my Salvo cousins - Frank, Sal and Vin. And then later in life we always enjoyed our time together at the annual Ferrara/Salvo family reunions. As a bit of an inside joke (Vin and Sal will get this), Frank will now get all of the Brooklyn Bread that he wants in heaven.

May fond memories of your Dad bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to share these before he passed away. I keep remembering all the times he sent you his grocery list. 4 different bananas - little green, almost ripe, ripe and ready to eat... or something like that. I've never heard of anyone being so picky with the age of his bananas. I still laugh remembering how you would take down his list and make sure you don’t forget anything on that list Kara. I know you will definitely miss that :( I am sorry for your pain and just know that we are here for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us especially during this difficult time.
