I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. Deepest sympathies to Mrs. Danciu, siblings and family. George and I were good friends in Grade School and High School. We often times would spend the night at each others house. George had a great sense of humor we would laugh for hours. We also played Boca city sports together (my father coached us for 2 yrs. in Little League Baseball). May the peace and comfort of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with all the family and friends. Rest in peace my friend George!

Dear Danciu family: Oh Wow, the Danciu family is literally iconic. A cultural representation of our Boca days. Although it's been many years since those days spent at Dirty Moes with one or another Danciu at the helm, I still feel deeply the loss of one of the Icons from my past. The last time I saw George was on St. Patrick's Day this year at St. Vincent Ferrar church in the band tent. He walked up to me in his celebratory St. Paddy's day garb and asked me to dance. I didn't recognize him and prudishly told him that I couldn't dance with him because my boyfriend was there. He said, "Joanne, it's me George", and then proceeded to give me the biggest bear hug. Every time I think about that encounter with George I have to laugh full out and smile. He was truly a social person, always making you feel important and loved. He has now crossed the bar (reference Crossing the Bar by Alfred Lord Tennyson).
We will miss one more Danciu icon!

I worked at Dirty Moes but I knew George before that. He was a friend , a great guy and we had many laughs together. My father Tom and my brother Marty were friends with him and his father and had baseball in common. He was the nicest person you could ever meet and will always have a piece of many people's hearts !!! God Bless to all of the family !!!!

I can think of no words to properly express my sympathy to all of you back in Boca for the loss of George. He was a big, cheerful, positive man who had a way of putting people at ease and the void he leaves must hurt so much. The Dancius are a tight bunch, stay tight and hold each other up. Fifteen years ago I met Peggy when our boys became best friends in kindergarten. Since then, I've had the pleasure of getting to know the entire Danciu family as the years went by. I admired George for his love and devotion to his family, especially to his daughters and grandson, Bradley. He was such a happy, nice guy. From family get-togethers, to tailgates, George always made you feel welcomed. His strength and will to beat this dreaded disease was admirable. George, you will be missed, not only by your family, but also, by those whose lives you touched with your genuine kindness and expression of selflessness. May you be full of joy in the company of your dad, and others in your family who went before you.

His entire family have always shown me love and devotion and shared generously their gifts and talents. I have many happy memories of good times at Dirty Moes and at numerous family celebrations which included George. We always had a "good chat" whenever our paths crossed.
