Rick was my advisor in the Boca PD Explorer Program more than 20 years ago. He made a positive impact in my life and in the life of so many others. I will forever remember him and his kind heart. Until we meet again Rick in Heaven. My condolences to Rick's family.

Please accept my sincere condolences to Janet and Rick's entire family. We were all deeply saddened by Rick's passing.
We always say that our influence is not defined by the positions or ranks that we hold. And so it was with Rick. He had an impact on so many people in his personal and professional life, in so many ways.

Our sincerest condolences regarding the loss of Rick.
I will always remember Rick for his strong work ethic, straight forward honesty, outstanding service to our union and his great sense of humor. Rick was one of the most honorable police officers I ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with during our years of service together at the BRPD. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My deepest condolences to Rick's family and those closest to him. I worked in the CO/United Baggage Office in PBI Airport prior to retiring in 2011 and spent many hours with Rick and Omar. I am truly saddened to hear of the Rick's passing. I worked with him in the 90's at BRPSD. He was compassionate, fun-loving yet highly professional, and simply "everything a police officer should be" (as quoted by my canine-loving little sister when he took the time to introduce her to Eluo). Praying for strength for his family as they endure this difficult journey.

Rick was always an inspiration and mentor to me while growing up and interning at the PD. He knew how to talk to people in a calming manner that I'll never forget. He introduced me to K-9's and now I work with search and rescue dogs when not on water patrols for the State. Rick will be missed by all he helped, befriended, and loved. The law enforcement community has lost one of the greatest.
