James D’Antonio (1918-2016) of Ft. Lauderdale and more recently Boca Raton passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his home. He was 98 years old.
He was born in New York to Nicholas and Virginia D’Antonio. He proudly served in the US Army during WW II in France and Germany. He was the founder and owner of Perfect Steel Rule Die Company of Brooklyn for over 30 years; he sold the company and relocated to Florida where he pursued his love of golf.
James was preceded in death last December by Josephine, his beloved wife of 75 years. James is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law’s Nelson and Holli of Boca Raton; James and Andrea of Ft. Lauderdale; his sister Dolores Carhart of New York; and his cherished grandchildren: Nelson II (wife Amanda), William, Elizabeth, Joanna and precious great-grandson Nelson D’Antonio III.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Monday, August 15, 2016 at St. Jude Catholic Church of Boca Raton. He will be laid to rest at the Boca Raton Mausoleum after Military Funeral Honors.
