James W. Baltzer

James W. Baltzer, 84, of Delray Beach died Wednesday, November 6th, 2013.  Jim was born and raised in Shanksville, Pennsylvania; the son of Edward and Viola Baltzer. He graduated from Stonycreek Township High School in 1946.  His work as a Civil Engineer enabled him to travel around the world.  Jim made friends everywhere he went and his easy personality endeared him to many.  He was very witty and had a gift for telling a good natured joke.  He enjoyed many outdoor sports including hunting, waterskiing, fishing, and spear fishing.

In 1980 Jim made his home in Delray Beach, Fl and pursued his new hobbies of tennis and golfing.  Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Baltzer.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter Linda Hall of Pompano Beach and his son Karl Baltzer and daughter-in-law Deborah of Boca Raton; 3 grandchildren Ryan Drake, Cheri Stefanow and Skyla Jade Baltzer; 3 great-grandchildren Sierra Stefanow, Drake Stefanow, and Alexander Drake; his companion Ellen Boyle and son Michael Sedita.  He also leaves behind his two brothers John Baltzer and Robert Baltzer.

Although Jim is gone from our presence, he will never be forgotten.  Visiting hours will begin at the funeral home at 2:00pm on Monday, November 11th with the Funeral Service at 4:00pm officiated by Fr. Mark Andrew Jones.  A graveside service will take place in Pennsylvania, where he will be laid to rest in the family plot.
