Xiomara Turgeon

With profound heartbreak, we share the passing of Xiomara Mercedes Turgeon, who was taken from us far too soon on January 29th, 2025 at the age of 55. Xiomara was a source of love, strength, and kindness, touching countless lives with her warmth and generosity. She had a way of making people feel seen, loved, and valued, always giving of herself without hesitation. Though her time here was far too short, the love she poured into the world will never fade. While our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to guide us, her love forever woven into the lives she touched.

Some people walk through life quietly, but Xiomara Mercedes Turgeon moved through the world like a gentle, radiant light—illuminating the lives of everyone she met.

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to Antonia Peralta and Neftali Contreras, she was one of eight siblings, raised in a home full of love, warmth, and togetherness. Her sisters and brother were her lifelong companions, sharing in laughter, cherished memories, and an unshakable bond. That love became her greatest gift to the world—she gave it freely, endlessly, and unconditionally.

Her daughter, Tatiana, was the center of her universe, and their bond was truly unbreakable. She lived for her, offering all the love, support, and encouragement any child could hope for. In September of 2024, she married her best friend and soulmate, Alan, and they built a life filled with pure happiness and devotion. She was overjoyed to have found such deep, unconditional love, and she cherished every moment with him. Her mother, Antonia, was also one of her greatest sources of strength and love.

Xiomara had a natural gift for bringing people together. She loved hosting, paying attention to every small detail to make others feel special. Orchids and plants brought her joy, a reflection of the care and patience she had in all aspects of her life. But above all, she found happiness in simple moments—laughing with her husband, spending time with her daughter, and creating memories with those she loved most.

She had a heart of gold and a spirit that reminded everyone not to take life too seriously. She knew how to laugh, how to love, and how to turn even ordinary moments into something extraordinary. Her kindness was endless, and her love was felt by everyone lucky enough to know her. Though she has left this world too soon, her spirit will forever bloom in the lives of those who were lucky enough to be loved by her.

Funeral Service

A public Mass in celebration of Xiomara’s life will be held on February 10th, 2025 at 1:30 PM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, located at 370 SW 3rd St, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Family and friends are invited to join us in remembering and honoring her.

In honor of Xiomara’s vibrant spirit, the family requests that attendees wear white, as she was never fond of black attire at funerals. This request reflects the joy and light she brought to the lives of everyone who knew her.

Con profundo dolor, compartimos el fallecimiento de Xiomara Mercedes Turgeon, quien fue arrebatada el 29 de Enero del 2025 a la edad de 55 años. Xiomara fue fuente de amor, fortaleza y bondad, tocando la vida de quienes con ella compartieron con su calidez, y generosidad. Tenía una manera de hacer que las gente a su alrededor se sintiera vista, amada y valorada, siempre entregándose sin dudarlo. Aunque su tiempo aquí fue demasiado corto, el amor que derramó en nosotros nunca se desvanecerá. Si bien nos duele el corazón por su  ausencia, nos reconforta saber que su espíritu continuará guiándonos, su amor estará para siempre entretejido en las vidas que tocó.
 

Algunas personas caminan tranquilamente por la vida, ella se movía entre nosotros como una luz suave y radiante, iluminando las vidas de todos quienes compartian su caminar en ésta tierra.

Nacida en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, hija de Antonia Peralta y Neftalí Contreras, fue una de ocho hermanos, criada en un hogar lleno de amor, calidez y unión. Sus hermanos fueron sus compañeros de  vida, compartiendo risas, recuerdos preciados y un vínculo inquebrantable. Ese amor se convirtió en su mayor regalo para todos nosotros, lo dio de forma gratuita, infinita e incondicional.
 

Su hija Tatiana era el centro de su universo y su vínculo era verdaderamente inquebrantable. Vivió para ella y le ofreció todo el amor, apoyo y aliento que cualquier niña podría desear. En Septiembre del 2024, se casó con su mejor amigo y alma gemela, Alan, y construyeron una vida
llena de pura felicidad y devoción. Estaba encantada de haber encontrado un amor tan profundo e incondicional y apreciaba cada momento con él.
Su madre, Antonia, fue también una de sus mayores fuentes de fortaleza y amor.

Xiomara tenía un don natural para unir a la gente. Le encantaba ser anfitriona, prestar atención a cada pequeño detalle para hacer que los demás se sintieran especial. Las orquídeas y las plantas le traían el aroma de alegría, reflejo del cuidado y paciencia que tenía en todos los aspectos de su vida.  Supo encontrar la felicidad en momentos simples: reír con su esposo, pasar tiempo con su hija y crear recuerdos con quienes más amaba. Tenía un corazón de oro y un espíritu que les recordaba a todos que no debían tomarse la vida demasiado en serio. Sabía reír, amar y convertir incluso los momentos ordinarios en algo extraordinario. Su amabilidad fue infinita y su amor lo sintieron todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. Aunque partio a  Gloria Eterna  demasiado pronto, su espíritu florecerá para siempre en las vidas de aquellos que tuvieron la oportunidad de sentir su presencia y la suerte de ser amados por ella.

Servicio Funerario
Se llevará a cabo una misa pública en celebración de la vida de Xiomara el 10 de Febrero del 2025 a la 1:30 p.m. en la iglesia católica St. Joan of Arc, ubicada en 370 SW 3rd St, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Familiares y amigos están invitados a unirse con nosotros al recordarla y honrarla.
 

En honor al espíritu vibrante de Xiomara, la familia solicita que los asistentes se vistan de blanco, a ella nunca le gustó el atuendo negro en los funerales. Esta petición refleja la alegría y la luz que trajo a la vida de todos los que la conocieron.
