William (Bill) Thomas Huggins of Deerfield Beach, Florida born on December 15, 1941, in Conway, South Carolina, passed away on December 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Avinger Huggins, just two months earlier. Bill and Shirley shared a remarkable 56 years of marriage.
Throughout his professional career, Bill was deeply immersed in the boating industry in yacht sales and boat building. His attention to detail was a hallmark of his work and a reflection of his passion. However, Bill considered his most significant role to be that of a father and grandfather. He was devoted to his two children, Shalise and Tom, and his four grandchildren, Caroline, Matthew, Cooper, and John Thomas. He found immense joy in sharing his passions for archery, range shooting, and drawing and design with them.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Shalise DeMott (Don), of Boca Raton, Florida; his son, Tom Huggins (Tracy), also of Boca Raton; and his grandchildren, Caroline DeMott, Matthew DeMott, Cooper Huggins, and John Thomas Huggins.
A private service to honor and celebrate the lives of both Bill and Shirley Huggins will be held at a later date.
