With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William S. Gadless Jr., known to many as Bill, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday night, January 28, 2026, in his home in Boca Raton, FL, at the age of 54.Bill battled esophageal cancer for about a year and a half with remarkable strength, courage, and grace.
Bill was born on May 6, 1971, in Brockton, Massachusetts, to Jeanne Gadless. He graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in 1989 and went on to become an entrepreneur. In 1996, he met his closest friend and business partner, Brett Cohen, and together they started their company, Emagine. What began as a marketing agency later evolved into a digital marketing agency focused on healthcare and life sciences. Bill became a respected thought leader in life sciences and healthcare marketing, reaching and influencing thousands through his insights on LinkedIn.
In June 2009, Bill met Navy veteran Krystal Galewski, who became his beloved wife in 2013. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They cherished time spent between their Boca and Miami homes, enjoyed live music, and doted endlessly on their Chihuahua, Preston. Some of their most meaningful moments were spent visiting family and sharing quality time with those they loved most.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Krystal Gadless; his mother, Jeanne Gadless; his sisters, Melina Gadless-Sheedy and Dawn Gadless; and his brother, Michael Gadless and his wife, Christine. He is also survived by his nephews, Mitchell Gadless and his wife, Sandy; Cameron Sheedy and his wife, Alison; Dylan Sheedy and his wife, Nicole; Joey Scolly; and his niece, Taylor Scolly
In addition, Bill is survived by his mother-in-law, Debby Galewski; his brother-in-law, Joe Scolly; and his sister-in-law, Shannon Scolly, a nurse anesthetist who provided extraordinarily compassionate and invaluable medical care to him throughout his cancer battle.
Lastly, Bill is survived by his business partner, best friend, and brother in life, Brett Cohen, and Brett’s wife, Kelly. Bill was also survived by his Chihuahua, Preston Milford Gadless, who was always by his side, especially in times of need.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bill was known for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He had a rare ability to make people feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether as a husband, son, brother, Uncle or friend, Bill gave his whole heart to everyone in his life.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 7, at Russell Pica Funeral Home in West Bridgewater, MA, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
