It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of William Francis Comiskey, Sr. (Bill), 91, of Boca Raton, FL, who passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 25, 2026.
Born on June 1, 1935, in Chicago, IL, Bill attended DePaul Academy and DePaul University. He served in the Armed Forces with the Green Berets and was stationed in Germany. He began his career at Nordstrom Insurance Agency and later moved to South Florida, where he founded his own business, Greenwich Risk Management.
Throughout his life, Bill was known for his immense compassion. In the 1980s, he became a devoted supporter of Fr. Luke’s Catholic ministries in Haiti, helping to build homes and schools. This spirit of service continued alongside his beloved wife of 31 years, Margarita Rosa Rodriguez. Together, they traveled the world—including Peru, Guatemala, Colombia, and Mexico—giving tirelessly of themselves even as Bill faced personal battles with cancer. He was also very proud of his family’s legacy in Chicago, notably Comiskey Park.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, James and Agnes Comiskey; his son, Robert Comiskey; and his brother, James. He is survived by his wife, Margarita Comiskey; his son, William Comiskey, Jr.; granddaughter, Caitlin Comiskey (Berkley Bloodworth); step-son, Charles Brown; step-daughter, Denise Marcella; and sister-in-law, Jane Comiskey. We will forever remember him for his creativity, curiosity, adventurous spirit, and unwavering faith.
Funeral services will be held on July 7, 2026, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. The schedule is as follows:
