William Arthur Chapman lll
February 2, 1945- December 4, 2024
William, age 79, passed away peacefully with his family by his side after battling a lifetime of illness.
Originally of Yonkers & Patterson, NY. Bill was residing in Highland Beach, Florida with the love of his life, his wife Bonnie of 56 years. Father to Keri Sedor, Korryn Bishop & William Chapman IV Loving Poppy to Jordan, Jacob, Hannah & Aubree Bishop. Emily Makaelah & William Sedor, Lillian, Grace & Katie Chapman. He was predeceased in death by his father William, mother Hortense and sister Patricia. Loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins & countless friends.
Bill, aka “Chappy” at his job, was a Locomotive Engineer with Metro North Railroad for 38 years. Bill grew up fighting many illnesses since birth, overcoming more than most people could ever imagine. Despite his illnesses he worked hard and built a beautiful life for his wife and children. He loved his grandchildren more than anything and enjoyed spending many memorable Summers with them enjoying the ocean in Hampton Bays, NY. Bill was always grateful for every second he lived. He felt every day he was given was a gift. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and friends. He was a generous man who would give you the shirt off his back. For those that were a part of his life, they will have tales to tell to the end of time. Bill lived his life fearlessly and without regret, showing others that hard work and determination to prove others wrong, will bring you places you never thought possible.
