Warren Adamsbaum Obituary

Warren Adamsbaum passed away on February 15th; one day short of his 96th birthday.

Born in the Bronx in 1925, Warren was a graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School and, after proudly serving in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany during WWII with the Fifth Armored Division, went on to earn his college degree from CCNY.  He began his business career working for his much-adored brother-in-law Al Margolish at Modern Die Cutting Company, and retired in the late 1980’s after twenty years with Weight Watchers International; last serving as Vice-President of Corporate-Owned Operations North America.  In 2003, he self-published a memoir of his WWII experiences in a 300 page book titled “Looking Back“.  A strong supporter of Israel, he was also a devoted and appropriately frustrated golfer, a loud and proud fan of the New York Yankees, vociferous reader and prolific e-mail communicator in his later years.

Warren was predeceased by his loving wife of  fifty-four years, Helene who died in 2003, as well as his two sisters, Edith Margolish and Ruthie Marks.

He leaves behind his sons Mark and Paul, daughter-in-law Dale, grandson Andy, and many nieces and nephews including Frank and Sharon Sedmak with whose help he was able to fulfill his desire to live independently up until just two years ago.
