Victoria Clare Hamilton Clements of Delray Beach, Florida, died suddenly on Aug. 13, 2025. The daughter of June Dosik of Boca Raton and the late Richard Clements, Victoria had lived in the area for 24 years.
Known to family and friends as Tory, she was born in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 5, 1968, and spent her entire career in the medical field, working as a nurse and medical coder. A graduate of Holton Arms High School in Bethesda, Maryland, she took courses at both Brown University and Georgetown University, eventually receiving her nursing degree from Columbia Union College.
Her diverse passions included cats of the orange variety, driving too fast (she had a talent for talking her way out of traffic tickets) and pop music. She once came home from a Howard Jones concert with half of a sweaty towel that Mr. Jones had thrown into the crowd. (The other concertgoer refused to let go of her half, so Tory pulled out a penknife and halved the towel.)
In her late 20s and through her 30s, Tory ran a slew of amateur road races, including completing two Marine Corps Marathons. Memorably, she stopped short of the end, pulled lipstick out of her fanny pack and
applied it, so she’d look good in the finish line photo.
Tory’s father died in 2009 when he was struck by a speeding car while bicycling in Key West. A few weeks later, Tory took his ashes back down to Key West and bicycled them around town, feeling her father deserved a better final outing.
Tory regularly attended mass at St Judes Catholic Church in Boca Raton. In addition to her mother, Tory is survived by her three brothers, Nicholas, Andrew and Jonathan, as well as two nieces and two nephews.
