Valeriy Kazko, age 86, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 25, 1939, in Kyiv, Ukraine, where he lived during his early life before moving to the United States with his family in November 1994, where he built a new life with dedication and perseverance.
Valeriy was known throughout his life for his quiet strength, kindness, and steady positive spirit, even during difficult times.
He worked as an industrial mechanic for 60 years, a career he took great pride in. After moving to the United States, he worked for 24 years at Cardish Machine Works in Albany County, New York State, retiring at the age of 80. He was hardworking, dependable, and dedicated to providing for his family.
Valeriy will be remembered as a man who never complained and faced life’s challenges with patience and resilience. He was always willing to help others, often putting the needs of others before his own. His strength, wisdom, and calm presence were a source of comfort to those around him.
His life was a lasting example of hard work, humility, and love for family.
He found joy in simple moments, especially fishing and spending time outdoors in the fresh air. He loved spending time with his son, Yan Golub, going fishing on the boat in both saltwater and freshwater. These were among the most enjoyable and meaningful moments of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sofya Golub; his step-son Yan Golub and his wife Irina Golub, his sons Michael Golub and his wife Lana Golub, and Slava Golub and his wife Marina Golub and grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will remain in our hearts always.
