Valerie Teresa Prosser

Valerie Teresa Prosser,  Boca Raton Florida passed away on Oct. 10, 2025. She was  80 years old. Born in Providence, she was the second daughter of Francis X. Farrell and Mary E. Hynes. She was a graduate of Hope HS, and later became a business owner, and Fine Jewelry expert, at Nordstroms.

Valerie, was always very smart, creative, and entrepreneurial. She loved decorating her homes in coastal Rhode Island, and later moved to Boca Raton Florida, with her husband Donald, where she enjoyed many years of sunshine, family, and new friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Frank Farrell, and beloved daughter Theresa Bechaz-Ardente, and sisters Betty and Frances Farrell .

She is survived by her husband Donald Prosser, sister, Rosemary Shaw, and brother in law Larry Shaw, her niece and nephew, Haley Shaw-Green and Tyler Shaw. She also leaves behind several dear friends including Joanne Hannon, Jeanne Pass, and Stanley and Grace Bechaz of R.I.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:15PM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton.  Entombment will follow at the Boca Raton Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any Catholic Church, or poor box as she was always caring and mindful of charitable giving when you can.
