Travis Edwin Hodge, 49, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 2nd. He was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey in 1969 to Patricia Rau Lesh and Beuford Hodge. He graduated from Ramapro high school in 1987 and started a career as an automotive mechanic. He moved to Florida to start his family and a new business. He moved his business from Delray Beach to Lake Worth. He decided to close the business in 2016 and continued to work as a mechanic at the City of Delray Beach.
Travis was know for his generosity and kind heart. He had a way of touching the hearts of everyone he came into contact with. He just loved people, being around people, helping people. He made everyone comfortable no matter your background or what you had been through in life. He did not pass judgement, he just wanted everyone to smile and be happy. He would be there for you no matter what the situation or what time a day it was. He would never say no to anyone in need. He was a loving husband, doting father, a dedicated son, a fun uncle, helpful coworker and generous kind friend.
Travis would say," I was given the gift of life; now I have to give it back. I was a lucky man and am grateful to have been given so may beautiful gifts from God; especially my wife and children." His daily prayers with his wife included thanks for his "beautiful wife and beautiful children." Every day he woke up thankful and with a zest for life. He worked hard and did it with a smile and a gratefulness to God for all he had.
Travis is survived by his wife Patricia Hodge, his children Ariel and Spencer Hodge, his stepchildren Alyna and Evangelia Markakis, his mother Patty Lesh, His father Beu Hodge, his brothers Tate and Todd Hodge, his step brothers Richard and Joe Lesh as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and so many true friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 9 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton.
