Thomas W Mears Jr.

Thomas William Mears of Boca Raton, Florida,  passed away peacefully on August 30, 2020.  He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Carol, his daughters Julie Jackman (Barry) and
Jennifer Mears; his grandsons Tucker Morgan and Tyler Morgan and his niece
Lavina Smith (Doug).

He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 5, 1931. He served in the United States Air Force as a staff sergeant with the Strategic Air Command (SAC). Tom graduated from Miami University, Oxford Ohio with a Bachelor Degree in Business. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.  He enjoyed a successful career as a salesman for Lederle Pharmaceuticals, followed by ownership and management of a commercial landscape business. He was an avid fisherman and diver.  What he enjoyed most was spending  time with his family while boating and fishing locally or in the Florida Keys.

Tom had a special gift of being able to put a smile on everyone’s face. He was loyal, trustworthy and caring to both family and friends.  We shall honor him with a special celebration of life at a later date.
