Thomas Edward Lowin, 61, passed away on January 17, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 17, 1962, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Thomas spent most of his life in the Hudson Valley of New York. He was the youngest of three children of Katherine (Zicari) and John Lowin.
Thomas attended Franklin D. Roosevelt high school, Class of 1980. He went on to meet his wife of 36 years, Dene’ Vosburgh, and was the proud father of two beautiful daughters, Heather and Danielle.
Thomas had a love for life, a drive and work ethic that was unmatched, an internal fiery will to succeed, and an old school love that was indescribable.
He had a strong but giving personality. A desire to build detailed architecture and teach many men along the way. The love Tom had for using his hands in construction was a skill he used until his final days.
Thomas was happiest outside and on the water, enjoying the rumble of fast boat engines. He was an enthusiast of any vehicle that went fast. He strived to embrace life at all times and spent many weekends traveling to boat races and dreaming of having his own once again. He took pride in his physical fitness and strength activities.
He loved his dogs and all animals. One special animal from the past was his horse, Sugarfoot.
Thomas will be remembered as a strong, disciplined, independent, and loving, husband and father.
Thomas is survived by his wife Dene' Lowin, and his daughter Heather Babici, her husband Steven, grandson Hudson-Rhett, and daughter Danielle Lowin. He also leaves behind his sister Anne Marie Weber, brother Stephen Lowin and wife Elaine, brother-in-law Bryan Vosburgh and wife Leslie, family member Mea Smith and husband Russell, including several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Thomas will be held at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton, FL on Sunday, January 22nd, at 2 pm.
