Thomas Hugo Griffith

Thomas H. Griffith, 66, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away on July 10th, 2022, peacefully at his residence.

Tom was born on October 31st, 1955, to Thomas R. Griffith and Shirley S. Griffith in Charleston, WV. After graduating from Bridgeport High School, he went on to study Business Management at Fairmont College. After graduation, he landed his first job as a claim’s adjustor for Crawford and Company.

In 1979, he met Lori J. Griffith, and they wed in 1982, going on to have 2 children, Thomas P. Griffith & Casey J. Griffith.

In 1986, he moved to Sunny South Florida where he joined his father as an insurance agent in Boca Raton for Nationwide Insurance. He was later proud to have his 2 sons following in his footsteps, as they continue agency operations to this day.

Tom was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.

Tom was a passionate fisherman in his earlier years and could also be found at your local baseball field with his sons. Later in life, he would retreat to Griffith Mountain in Blairsville, GA and would tear up the winding country roads with his lovely bride on their Harley.

Anyone who knew Tom, knew that he was the most loving father, husband, and grandfather a family could ask for. He was predeceased by both his parents. He is survived by his wife Lori of 40 years, sons Tommy and Casey, daughters-in-law Gisselle and Jessica, grandchildren Victoria, Kingsley, and Mila, and his siblings Kelly Griffith-Daniel and Mark Griffith, and several nieces and nephews. He also loved his fur babies Harley, Hailey, Hugo, Zippo, and Duncan the horse, AKA Big Dog.

There will be a celebration of life at Boca Raton Community Church at the Ministry Center located at 470 NW 4th Ave. Boca Raton on July 26th at 3:00 PM.

The family would like to thank Dr. Martin E. Edep and Dr. Jose F. Yeguez for all their caring attention and affection during this difficult time.
