Teresa A Roth was born in Lima, Peru to Violeta Yolanda Compodonico and Angel Bartolome DeCesari, she was the oldest of four children. She graduated from Rosa De America High School in 1959. She received a scholarship from her Methodist Church and came to London, Kentucky to attend Sue Bennett College. Upon graduation she moved to New York City to work for the Methodist Synod. Later as a single mother she raised Terry and Lynn working for the NJ Farm Bureau then moving to Chicago, Illinois to work for the Illinois Farm Bureau and then Motorola. With her children grown, she moved to Deerfield Beach, Florida to enjoy the weather, beaches and continue running in warmer temps. She was a strong runner and motivated others to join her. She completed 11 full marathons and several half marathons.
