Sue Ellen Harper (Muhler), 75, passed away on December 14, 2024 with her daughters by her side. She was born and raised in Upper Montclair, NJ and lived in Boca Raton and Pompano Beach since 1973.
Sue was known for her love of plants especially orchids. No matter where she lived the yard was full of butterfly plants and orchids. Every home she owned she made it even more extraordinary than the last. Every yard was designed intentionally and was magical.
Sue was good at researching and finding holistic ways to cure anything that might ail you. She loved sharing information she learned with anyone who needed help.
Sue loved animals and especially had a soft spot in her heart for cats. Sue took in many during her lifetime and they were the luckiest and most loved cats.
Sue was a hard worker and she did everything from working at a dealership, to owning a cleaning company. She loved selling real estate, and stayed in that career for more than 25 years. In her last few years, she took a position as a security guard to stay active and connected to people.
Sue made friends easily. She was loved by everyone that had the chance to get to know her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Brandy (Upright) Truex, and Stori Upright. Her sisters Kathie Muhler and her partner Irene Pepping, Cathy Nagler and husband John, Jennie Seiler and her husband Jeff, Edna King and her husband Mark, and her two brothers, Frank Delzel and Tommy Delzel.
Sue’s memorial service will take place on February 15 at 11:00 am at Glick Funeral Home in Boca Raton.
To honor Sue and to celebrate her life, we are encouraging everyone to wear bright colorful, even floral clothes on Saturday.
