Stuart Guy Buckley

Stuart G. Buckley, 55 of Boca Raton, passed away suddenly in his sleep on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.  The family will hold a memorial at a later date to celebrate his life.

Stuart was born in London to John and Barbara Buckley on September 30, 1964.  He attended Edmonton County School.  Upon leaving school, Stuart traveled to the US to work at a summer camp. It was there he met Cynthia, his wife of 24 years.  

In 2007, Stuart received his bachelor's degree in Psychology with honors from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and was nearing the completion of his master's. He worked at the university as the assistant director for the Office for Students with Disabilities, where he tirelessly helped his students no matter what challenges they faced.

That same year he witnessed the birth of his daughter.  She was the biggest joy in his life and he was an incredible father and was devoted to his family.

Stuart believed that all people deserved the chance to succeed in college. He made it his mission to help students utilize technology to help them in their academic career and served as a living example in his pursuit of further education. He inspired his students to not only believe in themselves but find the tools and accommodations to help them achieve their goals.  

Stuart is survived by his wife Cynthia, daughter Josette, mother Barbara, brother Philip (Amber) Buckley, nieces Saffron, Imogen, Penelope, Zoe and nephew Julian.

Stuart is preceded in death by his father, John.
