Stephen Stark Obituary

To remember Stephen Robert Stark is to remember a man defined by joy, integrity, and unwavering devotion. On April 11, 2025, we lost a remarkable soul—a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle alongside his treasured father, Robert “Bob” Stark, and his adored daughter, Brooke. The ache of his absence is indescribable, but the legacy he leaves behind is one of laughter, loyalty, and a life lived with unmatched love.

Born in Kankakee, Illinois, on September 23, 1970, Stephen grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, where he graduated from Boca Raton High School. He earned a degree in Business from the University of Florida in 1992, where he also met the love of his life, Amy. They married in 2005 and built a beautiful life together in Delray Beach, raising their daughters, Brooke and Bridget— who were, without question, his world.

Stephen’s work ethic was extraordinary—driven not only by brilliance and vision, but by an unwavering moral compass. As President and part owner of U.S. Info-Comm, Inc., he led with integrity, precision, and heart. He carried the weight of responsibility with grace, often choosing what was right over what was easy or advantageous. Whether in business or in life, he made decisions with others in mind, even when it came at a personal cost—because, as he often said, “it’s the right thing to do.”

And yet, despite the demands of his work, Stephen remained deeply and intentionally connected to the people he loved. No matter how long the day or how full the calendar, he made time for meaningful conversations—often calling family and friends just to check in. He never missed a call. Even in high-stakes meetings, he would pause to answer or reply with a quick, “I’ll call you back in 20”—and he always did. That kind of presence, reliability, and care wasn’t occasional—it was who he was. His relationships weren’t something he squeezed in around work; they were his priority. In a world that often measures success by output alone, Stephen quietly modeled a life where excellence and love were never in competition.

Stephen was magnetic—charismatic, quick-witted, and hilarious. Every conversation was a prompt for laughter, every family gathering an opportunity for one of his spontaneous performances. His humor often revolved around lovingly imitating his father’s quirks, which only made the whole family, including Bob, laugh even harder. He brought levity to high standards and found joy in the details.

Stephen loved music—especially playing his guitar. In his younger years, he and his friends played for tips at the beach or beers in Atlanta bars. He loved skiing in Telluride, boating, flying, every Apple tech gadget he could get his hands on, and planning beautiful family vacations— including a dream trip to Paris that was just around the corner.

Despite all his accomplishments, Stephen remained humble. He never made others feel small, only lifted them up. A lifelong learner, he shared wisdom, ideas, and encouragement not to impress, but to empower—always with kindness, humility, and a genuine desire to make others’ lives better.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Darla Stark; his sisters, Natalie Nussbaum, Rhonda Krill, and Kim Brackett; his brothers-in-law, Richard Nussbaum and Michael Brackett; countless beloved nieces and nephews; his beloved wife, Amy Stark; and his precious daughter, Bridget Stark—his greatest joy and pride.
