Stephen Julius Schwartz, 81, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 3.
Steve was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Dora and Irving Schwartz. He is survived by his dear and loving family: his wife, Judy Schwartz; his sister, Miriam Schwartz; his two sons, Jeff and Seth Schwartz; and his four dear grandchildren, Dagan, Aiya, Ari, and Chloe.
Steve was born in 1945 in Lakewood, New Jersey. He graduated from Freehold Regional High School and Rider College. He began his professional career as a stockbroker in New York City. He soon began his long and successful career as an entrepreneur. After a brief stint with a bookstore, he pursued his love and passion for automobiles. Steve successfully started and operated a parking lot and a chain of car washes. His professional career continued to thrive as he launched and ran Wexco Industries, an internationally successful windshield wiper company.
Steve enjoyed playing golf and sitting on the beach, but his true love and passion was his family. He dearly adored and loved all of his family.
Steve was a kind, humble, and generous man. He provided opportunity for all who surrounded him. Steve’s sense of humor, good nature, love of life, and sincere gratitude in every moment will be sorely missed.
Pop, may you rest in peace. We will keep you in our thoughts and hearts forever. We love you.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, July 7th at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to ALS Foundation.
