In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother, Seham
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” — Revelation 21:4
Seham Abraham, also known as Ceci, passed away peacefully at age 70 on February 26, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was a devoted mother, wife, and sister whose faith and sacrifices profoundly influenced her family, who now entrust her to the care of Jesus Christ and hold to the promise of eternal life. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Fahid Abraham and their three daughters, Christine, Elizabeth, and Juliana, and is remembered with love and prayers for her eternal peace.
Seham enjoyed a rich and vibrant life, travelling with her beloved husband and daughters to various countries across the globe. Together, they embraced new cultures and created treasured memories. In the early 1990s, she moved to Trinidad and Tobago, where she warmly embraced the island’s culture and community, building meaningful connections and opening her home to friends old and new. Her time there reflected her remarkable ability to adapt and thrive wherever life led her.
In later years, she alternated her residence between her hometown Homs, Syria and South Florida, maintaining deep ties to both places. She carried her love of family, religion, tradition, culture, and hospitality across continents. She ensured that no matter where she lived, her home was always a place of warmth and generosity. South Florida eventually became the place where she spent her final days, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Seham was an incredible cook whose kitchen was truly the heart of her home. She took immense pride in preparing delicious, abundant meals and was especially renowned for her authentic Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. She was always pleased in inviting family, friends, and even new acquaintances into her home, hosting unforgettable dinners filled with laughter and storytelling. Guests left nourished not only by her exquisite cooking but by her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit.
Throughout her life, Seham remained devoted to her family above all else. Her resilience, kindness, unwavering faith, and boundless hospitality were constant in the lives of those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, cherished memories, and treasured family recipes that will continue to bring comfort and connection for generations to come.
Rest in Eternal Peace, Mother Seham.
