Saverio William Lauto

Saverio Lauto was born on August 16, 1957 and lived in New Hyde Park, NY for most of his childhood and teenage years.  He attended high school at New Hyde Park Memorial and in addition to regular classes, he enjoyed Library Club and Drama Club.  He and his family moved to Plantation, FL in 1976.  While attending Broward Community College, Sal worked in banking to pay for tuition and other expenses.

Sal was in banking and premium finance for 15 years. He did property management accounting and IT for 15 years, and most recently accounting at Isle Casino, Pompano Park, for 5 years.  He retired in 2017 due to kidney disease and his need for dialysis.

He is survived by his wife Catherine, of 34 years, and son, Samuel, age 27.  He is the son of Joseph Lauto, Sr. (dec.), and Anna Marie Lauto,

He has three brothers William Lauto and wife, Dorian, Joseph Lauto, Jr. and wife Angela, Frank Lauto and wife Deborah, along with their children and grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 8th, from 5-8pm at the Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton. The family will share eulogies at 7pm.

A funeral will be held the following day, Saturday, September 9th, at 11am at Glick Family Funeral Home, followed by a graveside burial service at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in North Lauderdale, FL at 1pm.
