It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandy Heber, a cherished wife for 66 years, a devoted mother, and a beloved grandmother, who peacefully passed away on at the age of 84 on Nov 20, 2024. Known for her unwavering kindness, love of family, and culinary expertise, Sandy will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Jim and their children Teri Jacobsen (Mark) and Jim Heber (Michelle); their 8 grandchildren, Sarah Heagen (Ryan), Kate Jacobsen, Brittany McCalister (Ryan), Jimmy Heber, Brian Heber, Ashley Bennett (Zach), Zach White, and Kiersten White; and their 3 great grandchildren, Macie McCallister, Rylie McCallister, and Owen Heagen.
Sandy was born in Virginia but lived most of her adult life in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a full time mother to her children and a loving friend and 2nd mother to all who knew her. She took on a career late in life with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department where she was a secretary for over 20 years. During her retirement years in Delray Beach, Florida she made many friends, traveled and enjoyed playing dominos, bowling and cards with her friends.
A memorial service will be held at Glick Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov 23, 2024 at 11am. A livestream of the service can be viewed at Sandra Heber Memorial Service
