Ronald Eugene Meier

Ronald Eugene Meier of Delray Beach, FL passed away on December 7, 2022.

Ron was born on February 11, 1970 to Diane(Dennis) Oakley in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating from St. Charles West High School(St. Charles, MO) in 1988, Ron went on to study tool and die at Ranken Technical School in St. Louis.

After working in the tool and die trade for many years, Ron moved to South Florida for a job in Delray Beach, FL designing and fabricating custom marine lighting for Lumetech.

Ron was especially proud of his daughters Megan and Allison. He loved spending time with them. He thought of them as his greatest accomplishment.

Ron’s love for the water began as a child on the Lake of the Ozarks, where he spent time at his grandparents home, and it continued into his adult life on the Mississippi River, then finally landing in Florida.

Ron was a master craftsman and never met a project he couldn’t tackle. If you could dream it, Ron could make it happen.

Predeceased by his daughter Megan Meier and his maternal grandparents, Nick and Marie Onofry, Ron is survived by his daughter, Allison Meier of St. Charles, MO, his parents, Diane and Dennis Oakley of Moore Haven, FL, sister Nancy Lenox of Jerseyville, IL, Julie(Jim) Hunter of Troy, MO, and Jennifer Brown of Silex, MO. He is also survived by several nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews, his brother from a different mother, Tom(Carie) Brackensiek, and countless friends.
