Robyn Kay Peress

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robyn Kay  (Brink) Peress.

Robyn, age 59, passed away on November 26, 2024.A beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Robyn was born on June 22, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Paul Robert Brink and Sara “Sally” (Grove) Brink and grew up in Anchorage, Kentucky.  A graduate of the University of Louisville Nursing School, Robyn's caring heart led her to a fulfilling career, and it was there, in Louisville, that she met the love of her life, Dr. Richard E. Peress. Their connection, sparked by a mutual patient who happened to be a matchmaker, blossomed into a love story that spanned 36 years.

Together, Robyn and Richard built a beautiful life, raising four wonderful children who were the light of Robyn’s life. Robyn's love and devotion to her family knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them.Her warmth and kindness made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her, as she was known for her radiant beauty both inside and out. She had a gift for making others feel seen and loved, her kindness and humor lighting up every room she entered. She shared a love of the beach and the outdoors, traveling, cooking, and trying new restaurants with her husband and spending time with her family and her pet dog and birds. 

Robyn dedicated much of her time to giving back to the community, supporting various charitable and nonprofit organizations. Her legacy is one of grace, compassion, and selflessness, and her contributions to those in need were a reflection of the depth of her caring spirit.  Robyn's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Robyn is survived by her husband Dr. Richard Peress, her son Benjamin, daughters Rebecca (Alex), Shayna (Matthew) and Abigail, her sister Elizabeth Harpring and brother Bob Brink—along with her granddaughter, Hazel Brown, will forever carry her memory with them. Robyn was a true light in this world, and she will be greatly missed.
