It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert George Stark, 81, who died tragically alongside his beloved son Stephen Stark, 54, and cherished granddaughter Brooke Stark, 17, on April 11, 2025.
Born on March 1, 1944, in Kankakee, Illinois to James and Jensene Stark, Bob—as he was affectionately known—grew up in Bradley, Illinois, where he attended grade school and high school. He went on to serve proudly in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965, demonstrating early in life his deep sense of commitment and patriotism.
Following his military service, Bob earned his degree in Business from Northern Illinois University in 1974. His career began in the telephone industry, eventually leading him to Boca Raton, Florida, where he launched his own company, U.S. Info-Comm, Inc., in 1983. His entrepreneurial spirit and leadership laid the foundation for a family-run business that would carry on his legacy.
After retiring in 1999, Bob found new adventure in his lifelong passion for flying with aerobatics. He traveled across the country competing in numerous contests, eventually earning a place on the World U.S. Advanced Aerobatic Team and becoming the U.S. Advanced Aerobatic Champion in 2004—an extraordinary accomplishment at any age.
For the past 20 years, Bob and his loving wife of 55 years, Darla, split their time between Florida and their peaceful summer home in the mountains of North Carolina. There, they welcomed family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter, stories, and joy.
Bob is survived by wife Darla; daughters Kim Brackett (Mike), Rhonda Krill, and Natalie Nussbaum (Richard); daughter-in-law Amy Stark; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was affectionately known to them as Pop-Pop and Grandpa, titles he wore with pride and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jensene Stark; his brother, Edward Stark; and sister, Donna Stark Link. Bob has entered eternity with his son Stephen and granddaughter Brooke.
Bob’s legacy lives on through the values he instilled—integrity, perseverance, and deep love for family.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever honored.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 24 at Advent Lutheran Church in Boca Raton.
