Danny [Bob] was a loving and devoted Husband, Son, and Brother. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 37 years, Donna (Wonson) Perritte, nephew Shawn Wonson and his wife, Ally Wonson; his mother Billie D. Perritte, brothers Kevin Perritte and Robert B. Perritte Jr, sisters Stacy [Tim] Haga and Pam [James] Barrineau; nephews Joshua, Justin, Nicolas, Cody, James, and nieces Nicole and Rachel.
After graduating from Fletcher Sr. High school in 1973, he joined the military and served in the U.S. Army. After completion of his military service, he was accepted at West Point but chose to attend the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. and upon graduation in 1979, began working in the Marine Industry.
Danny lived a life full of adventure as he traveled to various parts of the world while serving as the Captain of various Yachts and Ships; as well as a Captain of Tugboats throughout the world as he was one of a very few Captains that carried a 1600-ton Unlimited License. He was the Captain of the Yacht “The Gallant Lady” for 16 years and his travels took him to Holland, the Bahamas, Hawaii, the Virgin Islands, Panama, Samoa, Japan, the South Pacific, Alaska and Sweden.
He resided in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl where in 1984 he met and married the love of his life, Donna Wonson. He was fondly referred to as “Captain Danny Bob” and the “Duke” by family members and loved ones alike. He will be forever remembered and sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He will be laid to rest at the Beaches Memorial Park in Atlantic Beach, Florida, alongside his father, Robert [Big Daddy] Perritte. Funeral details to be provided in the very near future.
