Robert “Bob” A. Iovene, 86, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Delray Beach, Florida. He was born on July 21, 1939, in New Haven, Connecticut. He is predeceased by his loving parents, Anthony R. and Rose M. Iovene, his sister, Patricia Iovene, and his beloved wife, Ellen.
Bob was a devoted husband to Ellen, and they shared 50 years of marriage. He was also a proud father to his three sons, Brandon (Debbie), Brent (Becky), and Bobby (Andrea) and a doting grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren Bailey, Isabella, Emma, Michael, Angelica, and Robby. They brought him endless joy, and he cherished every moment with them. He was a brother-in-law to Nancy (Andy) Taraian, and a cherished uncle to Tracy (Michael) Meehan and Troy Salvo.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Bob carried their values of honor, duty, and service throughout his life. After his service in the Marine Corps, Bob moved his family to Boca Raton, FL in 1979, where he started his own business, B&I Quality Painting, serving his community for over 25 years, with the same dedication he showed in the military.
In his free time, Bob loved woodworking and painting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected his patience and creativity. He was always ready to help anyone in need, whether it was installing a kitchen for a friend or lending a hand with any project that someone needed, showing the same care and dedication, he put into everything in life.
Bob will always be remembered in our hearts for his strength, and the love, commitment and compassion he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him but never forgotten as his strength and honor will live on through all of us.
A visitation will be held from 11 AM - 1 PM on Wednesday, March 18 at Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton where a Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial with Marine Corp Honors will follow at the Boca Raton Mausoleum.
