Robert Eugene Berens Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Berens, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Born on November 7, 1939, Robert was a steadfast pillar of strength and wisdom throughout his 83 years until his peaceful passing on July 25, 2023.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Berens, his caring sons, Robert Berens Jr. (Mary), Christopher Berens (Sandra), and devoted daughter, Stephanie Snell (Matt). He was a cherished brother to Paul Berens, and adored grandfather to 9 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Eugene and Nellie Berens, and sister Barbara Berens.

Robert was an accomplished individual in every sense of the word. A proud graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 1971. A visionary in his field, Robert made numerous contributions throughout his illustrious career, including several patents that speak volumes of his brilliance.

A man of dry wit, Robert was known for his smart humor and serious mindset. He found great joy in reading, studying Italian and valued the time spent with his family above all else.

A Celebration of Life service for Robert will be held on August 19, 2023, at 11:00AM at Glick Family Funeral Home. This will be an opportunity for friends and family to come together, sharing stories of Robert's remarkable life and memorable personality, and supporting each other in this time of sorrow.

Robert will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His memory will continue to inspire, just as his life has done. He will be sorely missed and forever remembered.
