Boca Raton, FL — Robert Banuchi, 83, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 4th, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on November 29th, 1942, Robert spent the early chapters of his life embracing his proud New York roots. In 1995, he and his wife (Florence) traded the NY life for the sunshine of Boca Raton, Florida, to be closer to his three beloved sons. It is here that he happily spent the last 31 years of his life creating beautiful memories and calling Boca Raton home.
A proud veteran, Robert served his country in the United States Air Force and was deployed to Spain during his service, ultimately receiving an honorable discharge. A devout Christian, he was deeply patriotic and took great pride in being an American. He worked in the insurance industry throughout his career in both NY and Florida, building a life centered on family and faith.
Robert's greatest joys were spending time with his loving wife Florence, his best friend to whom he was married for the last 60 years; his children, Robert (Karin), Michael (Angelique), and Steven (Sabrina); his seven grandchildren (Lauren, Isabella, Brooke, Zachary, Luca, Tony and Alessio); and his great-grandson (Leon). Additionally, Robert is survived by his many siblings, as he was one of nine children.
Throughout his life, Robert had many pet dogs whom he loved deeply. His beloved dog, Lexi, was his constant companion during these last 6 years, bringing him endless happiness. Robert enjoyed spending his spare time bowling, fishing, or golfing with family and friends.
He will be remembered as a proud patriot, a devoted family man, and a loving husband, father and grandfather who believed deeply in his faith, his family, and his country and who was very proud to "Make America Great Again."
