Raymond Marshall Rahn

Raymond Marshall Rahn,75, passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2020, surrounded by his family and the God of his understanding at his home in Boca Raton, FL.  Our family is deeply saddened by the loss of our devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He was born June 2, 1945 to Marshall and Dora Rahn in Langley Field, VA.  Ray enjoyed a life rich with adventure as the family moved around the country exploring many fascinating entrepreneurial ventures.  They settled in Houston Texas where Ray graduated from High School.  Ray was accepted at Yale on a full scholarship in 1963 where he majored in Russian studies..hoping to one day be a diplomat.  When he graduated in 1967, the only foreign service available was in Viet Nam.  He joined VISTA, the domestic Peace Corp and taught English as a second language to immigrants in Philadelphia.  In 1974, he married Rose Ann and they moved to Boca Raton with her daughter, Jean and their son Preston.  In 1981, after obtaining his MBA and CPA from FAU, he opened his accounting practice and has never retired.  In 1985, Rose Ann passed away.  In 1996, Ray met and married Sharon Rahn and they enjoyed a life of family, travel, adventure and deep spiritual growth as friends of Bill W.

He leaves behind his wife Sharon, his son Preston M. Rahn, step-sons G. Richard FitzGerald, Jr and Timothy J. FitzGerald and his beloved grandchildren Alan T. Bremer, Helen R. Bremer, Samantha M. FitzGerald, Jonas Scheller and Justin Green.  He is predeceased by his parents, his first wife Rose Ann, his daughter Jean Rahn Bremer and his granddaughter Savannah.

There will be a gathering of friends at the Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 from 3-4pm, with a memorial service beginning at 4pm.
