Raymond P. Karpovich, 77, of Boca Raton, Fl passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 after a long illness. Ray was born on March 17, 1943 in Ambridge, PA. to Nicholas and Mary Karpovich, who preceded him in death.
Ray is survived by his long term companion, Maria Wilson, his beloved children Suzanne Mueller(Bradford) and Steven M. Karpovich, his brother, Kenneth Karpovich, three adoring grandchildren, Brady, Brooks, and Bailee Mueller and numerous family and friends.
Ray grew up in Ambridge, PA. and attended Ambridge, High School. After graduation he attended University of Cincinnati, earning a degree in geology and went to Florida State University for a master’s Degree in geology. Ray worked in the oil industry most of his career.
Ray was a member of St. Mark Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton. Ray and Maria moved from Pennsylvania to Boca Baton 8 years ago to enjoy the beach and warm weather. Ray loved to travel throughout the US and internationally. He cherished his time with his children and grandchildren and passed on his love of travel and the beach to them. Ray was the most friendly and social person you would ever meet. He never met a stranger. Ray will be remembered for his love of his family and numerous friends.
