With deepest regrets, we announce the death of Panayiotis (Peter) Kokinakos. He peacefully passed away on May 17th at the age of 90. He now joins his son John in the embrace of the Lord. He is survived by his wife Helen of 64 years, his son Chris, his “daughter-in-love” Stella and his six grandchildren, Elaina, Christos, Peter, William, Zane, and Jaden.
Peter was born in Magoula, Greece, on February 18th, 1932. He served as a pilot in the Greek Air Force and subsequently migrated with his wife to the United States in 1958. He worked tirelessly to achieve the American dream. As a successful entrepreneur, he opened a banquet center and a multitude of restaurants. His family was a central part of his life. He will be dearly missed: his dynamic personality, his smile, his impeccable hair, and his infamous sunglasses will forever be in our hearts.
The funeral will take place at Saint Mark’s Greek Orthodox on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 10:30 AM.
The family kindly requests donations to Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church in place of flowers.
