Patricia Catherine McGeehan

Much beloved Patricia McGeehan, age 86, a resident of Delray Beach, Florida passed on Wednesday September 22nd in Boca Raton, FL.  Patricia was born November 3rd, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA to Catherine & Vincent McGeehan. She was the eldest of four siblings. She married Jack Shoosmith, also of Philadelphia, PA in 1957. Patricia is the adored Mother of 3 children Sally, John & Amy, and the precious grandmother of four grandchildren Sean, Catherine, Leah & Johnny.

Patricia was a proud graduate of Broward Community College in 1975 with her RN degree. She worked in the state & private sector as a psychiatric nurse. Her final position was an RN at the NYC VA hospital. Patricia had a distinguished thirty-five year career. She was a champion for the World’s most vulnerable, both professionally and personally and was also as feisty as she could be. She was the most compassionate, loving, smart, funny & the coolest Irish American lady one could hope to meet.

Her family takes comfort knowing Patricia is reunited with her Mother & Grandmother listening to Perry Como, and giving the Eagles (once from Philly, always from Philly) some extra love this season. Her family Loves her and will Miss her Forever. Cherished Patricia has now completed her transition from an Angel on Earth to an Angel in Heaven.
