Resident of Boca Raton
A loyal friend and father of two sons.
Born in Köthen, East Germany, he found an interest in technology at a young age and made an amazing career out of it as a computer engineer, always being sought out for his incredible wealth of knowledge. He was also an avid soccer fan which the neighbors heard cheering from two blocks away whenever his team would score. Olaf loved tinkering in the garage and refurbishing furniture, his mind was always active.
Survived by his parents Heidrun and Dieter Funke, siblings Jens and Anja Funke, and sons Patrick and Guillaume Funke.
A funeral service will be held at the Glick funeral home in Boca Raton, 3600 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33431, on July 11th, 2026. Greetings begin from 11 A.M.- Noon, eulogies will be held at Noon - 1 P.M., and the gathering will conclude with goodbyes from 1 P.M.- 2 P.M. There will also be a burial for his urn held at the Boca Raton Cemetery on Monday July 13th, 2026 around 9 A.M., all are welcome.
