Nidia Lavernia

Nidia Lavernia Quinones, who was born in Guines, Cuba, passed away in her home in Boca Raton surrounded by family on April 3rd 2020. She was 83 years old.

Nidia is survived by her husband, Dr Enrique Lavernia, her two children, Dr Nidia Chediak and Dr Henry Lavernia, her three grandchildren, Andria Chediak, Dr Sasha Chediak, and Geordan Speiller, her two great grandchildren, Kyla and Tysen Townsend, and her brother, Dr Jose Quinones.

She was a loving, creative, family oriented woman, who was full of light and life. She enjoyed decorating, playing the piano, entertaining, and going on family vacations all around the world. She was caring and intelligent and nurturing to those whom she loved most, her family and close friends. She will be deeply missed.
