Naomi Anne Bonnie, loving wife, mother of four, grandmother of nine and great grandmother of six, passed to Heaven on January 1, 2022.
Naomi was born on May 18, 1939 and grew up in Long Island, NY. Naomi worked as a New York Bell telephone operator and then she met her forever husband Joseph Robert Bonnie from Brooklyn, NY and was married on November 11, 1961. They started their family and then moved to Hauppauge, NY on Long Island where they lived until 1981. Naomi and Joseph moved the family to South Florida where Naomi worked as a Boca Raton Middle School bookkeeper.
Naomi faced many health obstacles over the years, but she won her battles and surprised everyone around her with determination and strong will. Unknown to many during this time, Naomi helped grow the company, Joe Bonnie & Son Moving & Storage, by answering the phones and taking messages long before there was a business office or staff. She was a vital part to the start of the business and its continued success.
Naomi loved her family and friends and the times she and Joseph were able to spend with them. Naomi and Joseph were able to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary dancing together.
She was predeceased by her grandson Colby Steigerwald. She is survived by her husband Joseph; her children Theresa, Catherine Steigerwald (Jason), Joseph II (Janis), and Elizabeth Smout (Lee); her grandchildren James Gross (Layton), Melissa Gross, Naomi Smout, Joseph Bonnie III, Tyler Smout, Gabrielle Bonnie, Brooke Smout, Kelsi Steigerwald; her great grandchildren Myles, Brodie, Hunter, Oakley, Leila and Paisley.
