N. Carol Rey, 82, passed away at Boca Raton Regional Hospital on Wednesday January 6th, 2021. She had been a resident of Boca Raton since 1968.
Carol was born in 1938 in Ivanhoe, Virginia to Eugene Stoneman and Gladys Richardson. She was one of five children, and grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio. Later she and her former husband, Joseph F. Rey, resided in Pennsylvania with their first child and then moved to Florida where their second child was born. Carol was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting the needs of her children and grandchild before her own. She was an animal lover, having discovered a love of cats especially. She had careers in radio, real estate and bookkeeping, and later in life she taught herself web-design and ran a small business hosting web pages.
She is survived by her son Joseph F. Rey Jr., her daughter, Cindy Rey, her son-in-law Stephen Storke, her grand-daughter Kayleigh Storke, her brother, Randall Stoneman, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
No services will be held.
