Msgr. Michael Dennis McGraw

Born in Erie PA, September 20, 1949. 

Msgr. was preceded in death by his parents, Frank William McGraw and Vivian Genevieve McGraw (Garber). He was one of six children.

Msgr. attended grade school at Our Lady’s Christian School in Erie PA, later attending High School at St. Mark’s Seminary in Erie PA.  He was ordained into the priesthood in May 1975.  He taught school at Elk County Christian School in St. Mary’s PA.  He returned to Erie to teach at Gannon University, later becoming the Director of Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Erie PA.  He left Erie to teach theology at St. Vincent DePaul Seminary in Boynton Beach FL, becoming Dean of Pastoral formation at the Seminary.  His next appointment would be to become pastor at St. Joan of Arc Church and School in Boca Raton FL, where he served for 13 years until his retirement in 2022. 

He is sadly missed by his sister, Marilou Trott, three brothers, Patrick McGraw (Cindy), Timothy McGraw (Debra), Scott McGraw (Susan) and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Carole Johnson.

Msgr,’s family would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the clergy, staff and parishioners of St. Joan of Arc for the kindness and support shown to Msgr. McGraw throughout his years of service there.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7th, at 1pm at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton, FL. He will be laid to rest privately at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Fairview, PA with his parents.
