Miriam (Rothberg) Ruffalo

Miriam Rothberg-Ruffalo passed away on April 20, 2023 in Boca Raton, FL at the age of fifty-seven. She was born on May 16, 1965 in San Diego, California and was raised near Chicago by her loving parents Dr. Richard and Laura Rothberg. After graduating from Homewood-Flossmoor High School, she went to DePaul University, graduating with a degree in Psychology. She continued her education graduating from Governor State University with a Masters of School and Education Counseling.  

Miriam met the love of her life and eventual husband, Glen, shortly before beginning her Masters. They married on July 9, 1994. Two years later, they welcomed their one and only child, Rachel, to the world. Miriam was an incredible mother in addition to working as a Psychologist (Director of Counseling).  Later in life she switched occupations and became a Real Estate Agent, a job that she absolutely loved and excelled at.

Miriam and Glen moved to Northwest Indiana in the early 2000’s. She lived and thrived in Crown Point and then Munster for close to fifteen years. However, Miriam loved the warm weather and eventually moved her family down to Boca Raton where she has been residing since 2017.

Those who know Miriam know she was the life of the party with her crazy dance moves and contagious personality.  She always had a huge smile on her face and would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. She was a loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, and Friend. Miriam will be missed tremendously and the family would like to thank all of her friends who supported and loved her unconditionally.

Miriam was predeceased by her father, Richard. She is survived by her Husband—Glen, Daughter-Rachel, Mother- Laura,  two brothers—Jonathan and Benjamin, and her beloved dogs—Bella and Cookie.

A closed casket visitation will be held at Glick Family Funeral Home on Monday beginning at 1:00pm with a Funeral Service at 2:30pm with Rabbi Marc Labowitz.
