Minerva Nunez

Minerva Nunez of Boca Raton peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, January 24, 2020.  She was 53 years old.  Minerva was born and raised in New York.  She was a professional educator by occupation but loved being a wife and mother.  The family moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 1999; Minerva enjoyed going to the beach while relaxing in the beauty of God’s creation.  She loved to travel and experience different cultures.  Just spending time and chatting with family and friends delighted her.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter and friend who will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts.

Minerva is survived by her husband Jorge L. Nunez; daughters Melissa and Christina Nunez and son Jorge Nunez.  She also leaves behind her mother Minerva C. Urena and three sisters: Rosa Marinez, Adrienne Nunez, and Jeannette Urena. 

The family will be receiving friends starting at 4:30pm on Sunday, January 26th at Glick Family Funeral Home where a Wake Service will be held at 7:00pm.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30am at St Lucy Catholic Church, Highland Beach. She will be laid to rest at the Boca Raton Cemetery. 

The family has suggested, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program (donate3.cancer.org) in New York City in memory of Minerva Nunez.
